All of us love to travel. But when it comes to packing things for an upcoming trip, we tend to make long lists and ensure everything in the list goes in our hefty baggage. On our trips, we realize that half of the things we had packed were unnecessary, we just carried them ‘in case’ we might need them.
Let’s forget the ‘in case’ factor while we pack for our next trip and travel light. Why? Here goes the list:
- Travelling lighter enables you to travel freely without worrying much about your belongings.
- When you travel light, you travel cheap because you don’t have much to pay for your baggage.
- Carrying all the weight in all the places you visit defocuses you from your trip purposes.
So, how can you travel light? Here follow our suggestions:
- Pack only what you need, not for ‘just in case’. For example, for a 2-day trip, you can pack only 1 pair of trouser, 2 T-shirts or shirts, 1 pair of slippers, medicines, and toiletries.
- Don’t start packing in a large bag, start with a small backpack instead.
- Choose clothes that have lighter fabrics. Opt out heavier woollens and weighty shoes.
